How was the show? Well, it was better than last year’s “Pity Sex in Vegas” edition.

The evening began with such promise. First, it was miracle that anyone was airing the Daytime Emmys. And for that, I was glad. HLN made the effort to take the Emmys seriously as an awards show.

HLN even pulled together a Red Carpet show. True, the best part of the RC show was when the host confused Bobby Flay with Oscar the Grouch. (On the other hand, maybe she knows something about Bobby that I don’t.)
