AMC Five Finale Fears

By Kate Brown

My list is surprisingly short.

 1. David dies. And Ryan doesn’t.

2. Babe comes back from the “brink”. And Stuart doesn’t.

3. Babe comes back from “brink”. And Leo doesn’t.

4. Babe comes back from the “brink.” And Harold doesn’t.

5.  Babe comes back from the “brink.”  And Billy Clyde Tuggle never returns at all.

All this Babe talk has me reaching for the EverClear and Strawberry Milk. Oh, let’s not forget the stirrer with a teeny tiny cow on top.

That’s all. What are your finale fears?

Here are my AMC Five Finale Fears:
    1. We will not be treated to seeing Opal in some fabulous outfits
    2. JR will be redeemed –always disliked JR
    3. Jake & Amanda adopt a baby so quickly
    4. Leo doesn’t come back
    5. Jack & Erica don’t get married

  2. Kate Brown Kate Brown says:

I have the same Opal fear. The finale would seem empty without her.

Sometimes I like JR. What boithers me is that everytime he does something destructive he’ Adam’s son. But whenver he does something good, Tad gets the credit. Been bugging me for years.

I won’t be surpised if the new Martin child shows up Thursday. Joe & Ruth are coming back to town-although I fear it could be for another T&D wedding.

  3. Caleche says:

IMO if the writers take the David bashing to its ultimate conclusion and kill off Dr. Delicious, a man who saved the lives of half the cast of the show without even a shard of genuine gratitude from any of them ..the David fans…who are legion…will never tune into the “new” AMC on the Internet. And rightly so. Without David PV is a very boring place full of smug and self righteous ingrates. No wonder Joe and Ruth left.

  4. Kate Brown Kate Brown says:

jammie-I was thinking about the newly adopted Martin child but your idea about Bobbie is much MUCH better.
Calechce-my fear is that David will be “redeemed” and then killed. The sexy, but evil, Dr, David deserves better. And so do his fans.

    • Bernie says:

I think that they should have all the unexplained characters come out of where ever they were last seen like Bobbie comes down from the attic or Army girl comes back from the bathroom. Hell even Jonathan was like there one minute on CBS the next.

      1. Ryan survives and continues with show online
      2. Cara stays with the show leading to Griffin also staying online
      3. David is recast with Cameron Mathison in the role wearing a clown nose and stethoscope(so we can tell which character he is at the moment)
      4. Erica is made younger and played by the woman playing Cara
      5. The entire online version of the show has a cast of 2 playing every part

This is the last week of All My Children……

It would not be fair to kill off David, as they have brought him back and we all still are in love with him.

The best thing would be for Ryan to ride off on his motorcycle, never to be seen again.

Then Leo could come back to Greenlee.

If Babe shows up, then wouldn’t it be nice if she and her mother could also ride off into the sunset.

I guess I’m thinking of the things that I want to happen, not what I fear.

  6. Ahna says:

My only concern about the show’s send off is killing off David. I would not like to see that happen. He has already been shot and stabbed this year, I would like to see him have a proper send off. Maybe Babe will treat him with a modicum of respect and he can have a nice scene with the both of them before going to jail, something like that. If it’s true Susan Lucci isn’t going to be on the online show, and they kill off David Hayward, and Debbi Morgan is already booked on another soap, I won’t have any reason at all to tune into PPAMC.

  7. Ron says:

    My 5 top fears are

    1. Seeing Zach in another snuggie.

    2. Seeing Zach at all.

    3. Watching Greenlee and Kendall fake-bond one more time – even worse if a bag of donuts is involved.

    4. David not only be thanked, but not seeing David in an obvious set up for him continuing online.

    5. Babe surviving, and Stuart not.

    6. And my extra – seeing Zach in a snuggie, fake-bonding with Greenlee.

  8. Lynn says:

    1. Stuart stays dead. Marian stays crazy.

    2. More Zendall snoozefest.

    3. More Rylee snoozefest.

    4. No Tad/Dixie happy ending.

    5. Leo stays dead and Rylee get a happy ending.

  9. Katrina Rasbold Sandi Showalter says:

    1. I have to agree with the rest of you. My biggest fear is that they will kill off David…or leave his life hanging in the balance and we won’t know until we hear weather VI signed on with PP or not.

    2. Cara will follow through on her “it’s my baby, not yours” statement to David. As I recall, there were two people in that bed & IF David is coming back, I want Cara and David together and the rest of PV to SUCK IT!

    3. Having to endure 5 more days of Rylee, Zendall and/or Tad&Dixie. I have no desire to be sick to my stomach while I’m forced to watch these loathsome couples for what could be the last time. (And I used to be a Zendall & T&D fan.)

    4. The one fear I’m almost 100% will come true: hypocrites will be celebrated and applauded. The list is long, but starts with Ryan and the last two (but certainly not least) will be Babe and KWAK.

    5. That JR will go on a murdering rampage, but will totally miss Ryan, Greenlee, KWAK, Babe and Natalia. There are others I would like him to hit in the brain, but they wake up in Janurary realizing what sanctimonious asses they have been for the last few years and change back to normal

  10. Katrina Rasbold Sandi Showalter says:

SMH! yes I do know the difference between weather and whether. :-(

  11. Alicia B says:

    Hmmmm. Final 5 fears……..

that we see more Greenlee and Ryan than anyone else
that we see more Mya scenes. Ugh
That they cliffhangar David….I will pull a LOST moment and SCREAM
the we see ANY MORE Krystal. I hope she is done with.
that the other “dead” person isnt Stuart. I really want it to be him!

I have more, but that was my top 5

  12. Ron says:

I got my #4 wrong. I wrote “David being thanked” when I meant David NOT being thanked” – He HAS TO BE…..(I hope). And I want a VERY clear indication that he’ll be on come January. No way I can tolerate the show without him, especially if Ryan and Greenlee continue.

  13. Caleche says:

I could not believe my ears when Krystalho started threatening JR about kidnapping. Irony thy name is AMC these days. That skank of a child seller, is the master kidnapper of all times….standing around twiddling her thumbs listening to Bianca scream in agony at the loss of her child…whom she kept from her for an entire year with nary a thought about how wrong it was. Krystal and her evil spawn Babe even invited Bianca to be her own child’s godmother at her baptism….a religious rite blamphemed.

And how about when Krystal got knocked up with Tad’s child and tried to keep it from him by telling Adam it was Charlotte Chandler she was carrying.

Oh Krystal….you and both your daughters ruined Pine Valley from the days you first appeared.

  14. Oh Susannah! says:

    1. No more Zen!
    2. No more Zen!
    3. No more Zen!
    4. No more Zen!
    5. No more Zen!

Just how am I supposed to deal with this preposterous situation?! Guessing I’ll just start over & replay the past 6 yrs of Zen Dvds I have. That. is. all.

  15. Ahna says:

@Caleche, ICAM. If Krystal believes JR to be dangerously violent and on the brink of the edge, it would be nice if she would remember she helped bring him there. She is the absolute last person who should be taunting JR about custody of the son she helped keep from him. I am already disappointed that Cameron Mathison has signed on to Prospect Park. But if Bobbie Eakes and Alexa Havins are signed, I will scream. It’s bad enough Susan Lucci said no, and we don’t know yet what will happen with Vincent Irizarry…no way will I watch the Ryan Lavery Hour.

  16. Andy says:

UGH…how to narrow it down? I will have to paint in broad strokes.

    1. ANYTHING bad happens to David, including being prosecuted for NOT reporting that other people were planning on killing Zach (since when is he obligated to do that??)

    2. Hypocrisy continues to reign and hypocrites get a happy ending (Ryan/Greenless, Kendall/Zach, Tad/Dixie, Jake/Amanda, Griffin, KWAK, Marissa)

    3. Babe returns…and stays.

    4. Jack marries Erica (sorry, Jerica fans, but it KILLS me that he is putting himself through it AGAIN!)

    5. David DOESN’T get the last laugh!

add somewhere in there that Jesse gets to remain Chief of Police, and I think that sums up my greatest fears about “the end (for now)”

  17. PVDreamer says:

    1) that they have any cliffhangers at all! I know there probably will be, but wouldn’t it be nice to start with a clean slate? why be reminded of an era that has been, for much of it’s time, FF’d material

    2) David goes to prison, and the other hypocrites run free

    3) JR doesn’t go to Oak Haven, where Annie can have the last laugh

    4) Marian is not released from O/H. now What did she do that was so bad?

    5) Erica is not called ‘Grandma’. Just once would be oh, so satisfying!

  18. jammie says:

    1. Dixie will go to PP.
    2. Griff will go to PP.
    3. David will NOT go to PP.
    4. Tad and Dixie will marry.
    5. KWAK and her offspring will go to PP.

  19. jean Loew says:

    Fears:

    l) No one will ever appreciate how wonderful David is.

2)There will be lots of smooching scenes between Ryan and Greenlee

    3) Maya will start to play a much more important role

4)The costume designer will continue to create those horrendous outfits

    5) The same writers (not the latest ones) will all be hired again because no one else will hire them.
