I’ve realized I find it harder to write about something when I have nothing really to complain about and that is how I feel about General Hospital. It’s much like gossip where it really isn’t fun unless it’s mean. Not that I gossip because, well, it’s mean.
Gripe number 1. I am not sure if I incredibly dislike the whole storyline between Britt and Patrick because it is a crappy storyline or because I find Britt just so extremely unlikeable. I am also not sure if I dislike all of Felix’s nicknames for Britt more than I dislike the whole storyline. Some may have been funny at first delivery but now they are just very tired. Back to the storyline…

I find it very interesting that I read an article stating that there would be no vampire storyline on General Hospital, yet here we are with a vampire, a vampire slayer and some dead bodies. Is that not what a vampire story is made of? Don’t get me wrong…I am hot for vampires and anything that puts Lucy Coe on my screen makes me happy so I am not complaining only observing.

I inadvertently took a break from writing. I didn’t mean to, but I have developed a wicked case of narcolepsy which only allows me to watch the show in small segments and rewind a lot. First I give you news. Kin Shriner is set to return as Scott Baldwin. Expect Luke to be very unhappy. Now he has Scotty to compete with Laura and real Duke to compete with Anna. The boy is kind of screwed. In addition to the whole Turkish prison thing.

The Professor, whose name I can’t recall, meets with Conor and informs him to keep Bonnie safe. Conor declines. Anyone who gets in his way dies.
Crap. Elena writes in her diary. Annoying voice over as she laments he vampire status and Stefan does the same. Blech!
Conor goes after Jeremy with a knife and uses him as bait for Matt and April. Than they all become bait. Stefan decides he should go in alone. Damon gives Stefan one hour and orders Caroline to call Bonnie out of retirement.

Flashback to 1110 AD
You can always count on topless men with great physiques on the CW. Maybe that is why I watch so many of their shows. I am not really sure. The men are in a circle with a chanting woman and as she chants tattoos appear across their chest and body. So begins The Five. We learn they are highly skilled hunters from Italy.

I will temper this by saying that I totally believe in psychic ability. Do I believe that an overdose of LSD would trigger such abilities? Sure…why not? Do I believe that by Olivia seeing Faison in Duke’s body that in 15 minutes Robert andElizabeth figure out Duke is really Faison? Not so much.

This was an episode that clearly defines why The Vampire Diaries is such a cult favorite. It was an episode that kept us immersed in ALL of our characters and still managed to throw two newbies in the mix and a surprise visit from a man I miss very much.

Episode: GROWING PAINS
Elena wakes up with a really deep gasping breath of air and Damon is wearing clothes. Bummer on both.
To begin with Elena is much the same inquiring after Matt before getting to herself and pretty much taking the vampire thing in stride with a side of denial. Elena and Stefan are determined that a stronger than ever Bonnie can help, while Damon is all feed or die. Damon is nothing else but a realist.

I waited a whole summer for this? Why yes I did and it was worth every agonizing second. Emily Thorne is my idol.
Once again the season starts with a flash forward to a sunken boat and we are led to believe that the floating arm may just belong to Jack. There’s a photo, a pocket watch and the fact that the boat is named “Amanda.” Is it Jack? I find that unlikely, unless of course he is saved.

I think all shoot outs should be accompanied by Bon Jovi’s “Blaze of Glory.” That would have been so perfect during the scene with John, Dante and Shawn. Flash to Johnny getting shot and it couldn’t be more perfect.
